Our Neighborhood

Northeast Park is the ideal neighborhood for young families and active adults looking for a safe, centrally located community near downtown St. Petersburg.

Northeast Park was first developed by the well-known local developers Frank Crisp and George Davis. The land was purchased in a back-taxes sale following the Great Depression with the intention of building a coastal winter retreat for residents of the northern United States. Northeast Park has since evolved to become a destination for diverse young families and active adults within a scenic bike ride’s distance to downtown St. Petersburg.

Among the many attributes of Northeast Park, perhaps the most defining are the Northeast Little League baseball and softball fields, and the two waterfront parks and playgrounds (Crisp Park and the Northeast Exchange Club Coffee Pot Park) that feature open areas and boat ramp access to Smacks Bayou, Coffee Pot Bayou, and Tampa Bay. These fields and parks are surrounded by livable, pedestrian-friendly streets, independent local businesses, and award winning restaurants.

But our greatest assets are our neighbors and families working together to make Northeast Park a wonderful place to call home. We are One Interactive Community.

Our City

The City of St. Petersburg is home to distinctive natural and cultural features, including the reigning American League Champions – the Tampa Bay Rays!

The "Sunshine City" features 244 miles of shoreline along estuarine and marine waters that include our treasured publically-owned downtown waterfront parks and one of the nation’s top ranked beaches, Ft. De Soto Park.

Young families typically enjoy visiting the beaches and parks throughout the city, or attractions such as The Pier, Sunken Gardens, or Great Explorations. And the numerous events and festivals provide opportunities to spend family time enjoying our great city.

The vibrant cultural scene includes the world-famous Salvador Dali Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, Florida International Museum, Florida Holocaust Museum, and soon to be constructed Chihuly Museum. The Florida Craftsmen Gallery, American Stage, The Arts Center and Palladium Community Theater provide local artists an opportunity to showcase their talent.

NEPNA Leadership agrees with Mayor Rick Baker that St. Petersburg is the best place in America to live!
